Lexie Lane

Karlyn Bishop (born March 24, 1979), better known by her blogger name as Lexie Lane, is an American blogger and website creator for voiceBoks and WikiMommy.
The pseudonym, Lexie, was a name she used to secure her true identity, while she wrote her most intimate thoughts in her first, personal blog. Oblivious to the growing popularity of parenting blogs, she came across a blog with 109 Google Friend Connect followers. After reading a few comments, she wondered why her work, which had over 230 entries, had not even one comment. Then a year later, and after extensive research, she created and launched her own parenting social network.
Bishop was born in Manila, Philippines. A few months after birth, her mother left her in the hands of her relatives, who lived in Malolos, Bulacan. Six years later, Bishop was reunited with her mother, who lived with her father and brother in Southern California.
Bishop met her husband in 2007 and now resides in Laguna Beach, California with their son.
voiceBoks
voiceBoks.com, was a domain name purchased by Bishop in 2010, after the idea of creating a website for easy access to voice-emails. After a dissolved partnership during the site's creation, voiceBoks launch was put on hold. In February 2011, Bishop researched and started the creation of a new website for voiceBoks.com
The name Lexie Lane stuck after launching voiceBoks, The Voice of Motherhood in April 2011. In less than a year, voiceBoks grew with the support of other mom bloggers such as Becky Jane Chapman, Becky McNeer, Lisa Ladrido, Sharon Ruggieri, Rosann Cunningham, and more.
Lexie Lane provides activities, newsletters, and articles to help mom bloggers understand social media, Search Engine Optimization, and important tools to help them navigate through the blog industry. In less than a year, voiceBoks has gained a significant daily flow of 20,000 page views per day. In addition, topics that include parenthood, pregnancy, and blogger interests are also posted in a magazine-like featured section of the website.
After the realization of the growing population of stay-at-home dads, voiceBoks changed its theme to provide an online meeting place for all parents. voiceBoks, The Voice of Parenthood is now a fast, growing community for parent bloggers.
The Social Media Panel
In January 2013, Lexie Lane pursued another business venture with fellow mompreneur, Becky McNeer, owner of Not Your Ordinary Recipes and Homes and Babies blogs. She realized the potential of a strong partnership after grueling sessions of writing and editing their upcoming book, The Blogger's Survival Guide., which is their own complete guide to successful blogging. The journey she experienced with McNeer helped her understanding of social media and the blogosphere even further than she imagined. With their combined knowledge, the two social media experts launched a website and limited liability company that now seeks to help businesses find their way around the social media world.
