Samuel Silberkraus ( - ) was an American Inventor and chemist. Known as one of the founding fathers of modern thermoplastics. The plastics industry He was both an active member and President of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), the Society for the Plastics Industry (SPI). Volunteer work Samuel felt it was his civic duty to participate in both local and national organizations. As such he was actively involved with many local schools such as The Center for Early Education (CEE), Los Angeles High School, University High School, Santa Monica College and the University of Southern California. Samuel also served as president of The Guardians of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging in 1974.
