Love Happens Like That

Love Happens Like That is a 2010 novel written by Ritwik Mallik, a 17 year old student of Delhi Public School, Noida. It is about love blossoming in a suburb of New Delhi between two people who are 14 and 15. The story deals with all the hormonal changes and drastic imbalances that a growing teen faces. It also gives an insight of how one can fall in love irrespective of how young or old he/she is.
Synopsis
The story is about Ritesh Garg, a 9th grader who falls in love with a fellow school mate, Aarushi. Although Ritesh and Aarushi have contrasting characteristics, they end up in a situation where they start liking each other.
While, Ritesh is busy romancing his first crush (read love), there are certain problems that are looming in the background. Aarushi's strict mother, their unstable grades, stupid friends and pig headed teachers are some of them. Combatting all these won't be as easy contrary to what Ritesh thinks. And at the end of it all, it is Ritesh's journey of getting his love, his angel and holding onto her for as long as he can. It's his discovery of the feeling called love & it is how he rediscovers himself.
The book is Ritwik Mallik's debut novel written when he was just 15. Making him one of the youngest writers of the country. The book has sold more than 7000 copies and still continues to do so.
