Longbeach is an Australian brand of cigarettes, currently owned and manufactured by Philip Morris International. History Longbeach was launched in the late 1970s. Eventually, the brand became the second most popular brand in Australia, after Winfield. In 2012, a pack of Longbeach cigarettes cost $10.70 in New Zealand. That price was increased to $17.00 in 2016. Longbeach and Winfield reporting annual sales of more than $750 million for the first time in 2006. Sport sponsorship Longbeach was a major sponsor of sport in Australia until outlawed by the Tobacco Advertising Prohibition Act 1992 that banned all tobacco advertising and sponsorship starting from December 1995 onwards.
