Lokesh Chandra Chakraborty (1908 - 2000) was the principal of David Hare Training College of Jadavpur , Kolkata. Lokesh Chandra is the first son of Nanda kumar Chakraborty and Elokeshi Devi, born on 1908 in Noakhali (now in Bangladesh) is an Indian educationist. He was a professor of Dhaka University in East Bengal in early 40's and left Noakhali in 1943. He was a faculty of Calcutta University and joined David Hare Training College of Jadavpur , Kolkata. Later, he became the principal of David Hare Training College. He wrote many books on Geography for school students. 'Bharat O Bhumandal' was the famous book of him. He is the elder brother of famous publisher Hiralal Chakraborty. He died at the age of 92 in 2000. |
