Lock and Key is an upcoming book by Sarah Dessen, set to come out April 22, 2008. It's about Ruby, who lives in a rented house outside of town with her mother, who was never very steady or dependable, and when she disappears, she has to go live with her sister Cora. Along with her sister who's he hasn't spoken to in ten years, she has to live with a brother-in-law who wants to make her part of the family, a fancy house, and a private school. And then there's Nate, the jock who lives next door with some of his own secrets. Ruby has to learn to accept help from people and how to help others.
