Journal of Religion and Violence

The Journal of Religion and Violence is a triannual peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes analysis of contemporary and historical religious groups involved in violent incidents. It is affiliated with the Comparative Approaches to Religion and Violence Group of the American Academy of Religion. Notable contributors to this journal include Faisal Devji, Wilhelm Guggenberger, Mark Juergensmeyer, Benson Ohihon Igboin, and James R. Lewis. Topics covered in this journal include sacrifice, terrorism, inter- and intra-religious violence, mass suicide, war and religion, and religiously-legitimated violence against women.
