New Journal of Botany

The New Journal of Botany (print: , online: ) is a peer-reviewed academic journal specializing in research into the native flora of the British Isles and Western Europe that is due to be launched in 2011. The journal is published by Maney Publishing on behalf of the Botanical Society of the British Isles. NJB replaces the journal Watsonia, which ceases with vol. 28 (2010) and has a broadly similar (but increased) academic scope.
The journal is planned to be published twice a year (scheduled publication months June and November 2011). Topics covered will include population and conservation biology; ecological genetics, autecological, physiological and phenological studies; plant/animal interactions, and plant biochemistry.
