LiveWatch was founded in Evanston, Illinois by Brad Morehead in 2010. It later acquired SafeMart of St. Marys, Kansas. SafeMart was founded in 2002 by Chris Johnson, a former paramedic. Morehead is LiveWatch's chief executive officer. Multi-family residential units account for two-thirds of LiveWatch's business. The company also released market studies and analysis.
