Little fire

One of Scotland best young singer songwriters Little Fire aka Jamie McGeechan is a 24 year old singer songwriter from Ayr in the South West of Scotland.
He has recently become the 2010 winner of the Burns And A' That 2010 Ayrplay Battle of the Bands competition.
Little Fire was a finalist in the UNESCO Glasgow of City Music Battle of The Bands 2010.
A keen writer as well as performer he has won national poetry competitions, performed as far afield as Australia and supported Damien Rice at the Latitude Festival as well as recently performing to the Queen at the Epsom Derby.
A keen member of the local music scene in Ayrshire, Jamie hosts acoustic nights at Su Casa and the Wellington Bar in Ayr as well as interviewing local bands and artists for an upcoming music section in the Ayrshire Post as well as for About My Area South Ayrshire Facebook page.
Music influences include John Martyn, Biffy Clyro, Nick Drake and James Morrison.
The name Little Fire comes from the Gaelic to English translation of his three year old wee brothers name 'Aodan'.
