Riverdale Park Farmers Market

According to its founders, the Riverdale Park Farmers Market was started by Ann Ferguson (former mayor, Riverdale Park, Maryland), Pat Gladding, Rebecca Feldberg, and the Maryland Department of Agriculture, as a means of educating and bringing locally grown produce to an underserved population of inner suburb residents in northern Prince Georges County, Maryland. The "producers only" farmers market is now in its tenth year and growing in both products available and patronage. The 2007 season begins on Thursday, May 17 and ends on November 1. Market hours remain from 3pm to 7pm. The event features award winning produce, weekly local live music, freshly prepared foods with market ingredients, and top notch local artisans. Further information about any element of this event can be found by e-mailing [mail to:rpkfarmmkt@gmail.com Jim Coleman], Market Coordinator, Riverdale Park Farmers Market, Riverdale Park, Maryland.
