Dr. Lisa Johnston is the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senator for Kansas. She has lived in Kansas for the last thirteen years, and currently lives in Overland Park with her husband, Kyle Johnston, the Web and Digital Creative Director for Garmin, in Johnson County. On April 28, 2010, she announced her candidacy for the U.S. Senate race in Kansas. Education Lisa Johnston holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri, and a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas. She received a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Kansas. Current position Dr. Johnston has worked as the Assistant Dean for Student Academic Services at Baker University since 2003. She teaches courses and also oversees a variety of student's support services.
