Liquid Radio is an FM radio station in Minnesota at 97.7 MHz. Liquid Radio plays mainstream and underground dance music. The station does not follow the traditional playlist formula of dance music formatted stations. Instead the format leans heavily toward techno, trance, and other music usually associated with rave and club culture. History Inspired by microbroadcasters Alan Freed of Beat Radio, and DJ Buddie B (DJ Nomad) of KRUL Los Angeles, John Christopher founded Liquid Radio in August 1999. The vision of the station was to have its own musical identity separate from any other dance station in existence. |
