"Sister Ruth" Dixon, (who was known for her signature slow and relaxed Caribbean accent), was a radio disc jockey who specialized in doing an all-night program playing her vast collection of classic, traditional and contemporary black gospel music, while she was on the air in the Los Angeles County area during the late 1970s, the 1980s and early 1990s on radio station KMAX, 107.1-FM which was located in Arcadia, California. The station ended its religious programming format in 1994, switching to a new format and eventually changing its call letters several times since 1994. "Sister Ruth" then moved, for a while, to radio station KTYM, which broadcasts on 1460 AM in Inglewood, California. After leaving KTYM, it is unknown what became of Sister Ruth".
