</noinclude> Lior Varona (born in 1972) is the owner and Director General of Bridges For Business LTD, which provides management and strategic services and representation of international corporations in Israel. Since 2006, he has been the Director General of the Cellular Companies Forum in Israel. Background Varona has a BA in International Relations and Education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In the years 1988-99, he served as Chairman of the Hebrew University Student Union, and in the years 1999-2000, as the Chairman of the National Union of Israeli Students. As part of his duty, he was involved in a battle to lower student tuition, which led to the appointment of the Winograd Committee for lowering tuition. Varona served as a member of this committee. He held a management positions which include Director of Sakal Sport Stores (multi brand stores), CEO of Tzamzam, an Israeli photography store chain, and Chairman of the shareholders committee of Issta. Varona is one of the two founders and a board member of the Ambassadors of Goodwill that seeks to with improve and promote the image of the Israeli tourist. Varona serves on the board of Masa Israel. a joint project of the Israeli Government and the Jewish Agency for Israel. The project offers young Jewish adults from all over the world life-changing experiences in Israel, connecting them to 160 programs that meet their interests, offering scholarships, providing expertise, and supporting them throughout the process. Varona also serves as director of the board for the Israeli Youth Award program, which is part of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award - a world youth achievement award, bringing together practical experiences and skills to create committed global citizens and equipping young people for life.
