LinkConnector

LinkConnector is an Affiliate Marketing Network headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. As an Affiliate Marketing Network, LinkConnector manages the relationships between merchants, with products or services to sell, and website owners (affiliates) who promote those products or services from a website or email. LinkConnector currently operates six departments: Affiliate Relations; Merchant Relations; Technology; HR, Admin, and Finance; Sales; Marketing.

LinkConnector has over 10,000 affiliates in its network and hundreds of active merchants, including Getty Images, LasikPlus, PRWeb, Peapod, eCampus.com, Reunion.com, and RealtyTrac. LinkConnector is recognized as one of the fastest growing and more progressive Affiliate Marketing Networks because of its new technologies and focus on account management.

LinkConnector has pioneered many new technologies for the affiliate marketing industry, such as Naked Link Technology®, Affiliate Connections™ and Virtual Affiliate™ tracking. The Network also offers unique affiliate technologies like an affiliate widget builder, and is well known in the industry for having a zero tolerance fraud policy.

Brief History
* March 2004, LinkConnector incorporates in the state of North Carolina and is headquartered in Cary, NC. Most of the company’s technical staff is based in Colorado Springs, CO.

* August 2004, LinkConnector debuts brand new technology in the marketplace with Naked Link Technology (patent-pending) and Virtual Affiliate Tracking.

* December 2004, LinkConnector launches Pending Sale functionality.

* February 2005, LinkConnector launches Affiliate Connections for its affiliates.

* April 2005, LinkConnector launches its FraudFREE protection system.

* September 2006, LinkConnector launches Pay Per Call.

* December 2006, LinkConnector launches a Version 2 of its platform. This includes an external site redesign and an internal reorganization. The internal reorganization includes the addition of a robust Affiliate Relations Department and a new system for how technology advancements are tracked and monitored. LinkConnector’s new Version 2 platform also includes the launch of a new advanced tracking event, Pay Per Go.

* December 2007, LinkConnector launches dynamic Product Feed Creatives.

* April 2008, LinkConnector launches an important new Web 2.0 Affiliate tool, the LinkConnector Widget builder.


Industry Benchmark
LinkConnector began 2008 with nine merchants from Internet Retailer’s 2007 Edition of the Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites. By May 2008, the Network had gained an additional seven merchants from this list, for a total of 16 Internet Retailer Top 500 merchants. The Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites is a widely recognized analysis of America's 500 largest e-retail businesses, a status determined by their annual online sales.

* Affiliate Widget Builder - This tool allows affiliates to convert approved merchant product feeds into dynamic widget applications for insertion directly into their site's HTML. One of the biggest benefits of the LinkConnector Widget is its ability to be fully adapted to the look, feel, and content of a website. Launched 2008.

* FraudFREE™ Protection - This system provides protection against fraud for both merchants and affiliates. It is backed by numerous advanced technologies, including Front Door Fraud Protection, Source Checker™, Click Validation, and Data Pattern Matching. Launched in 2005.

* Source Checker - As part of LinkConnector’s FraudFREE system, this functionality gives merchants the control over their brand with the ability to approve which affiliate websites are approved for their particular campaigns. Launched in 2005.

* Pending Sale - This technology enables a merchant to designate a sale or lead as Pending until post-sale requirements are met. Launched 2004.

* Naked Link Technology® (NLT) - This patent-pending technology provides an alternative to standard linking campaigns (which are found in LinkConnector and other networks). NLT enables an affiliate to link directly to their merchant partners; it provides the ability to transparently run an affiliate program. A Naked Link is a hyperlink devoid of any arguments or parameters. Launched in 2004.

* Affiliate Connections™ - This technology helps affiliates quickly identify which merchant promotions generate the most revenue for their website’s traffic. Launched in 2004.
