Lina Caceres (born Lina Maria Caceres Escobar in Armenia, Colombia, December 21 1981) is talent manager, television producer, speaker, and brand strategist. She is the manager of Sebastian Villalobos, Catalina Maya and Claudia Bahamon among others.
She attended University of La Sabana in Bogota, Colombia from 2000 to 2005 where she received her degree from social communication and journalism.
In 2004 before finishing school started as an intern in Caracol Televisión in the production of the show “El Ultimo Grito” (The last Shout). Six months into her internship she was hired as producer of the afternoon show “Esta Tarde el Magazin” (This Afternoon the Magazine) and “La Peluqueria” (The barbershop). After five months working both shows was promoted to general Producer of special and commercial events that included Premios Shock de la Musica (Music Shock Awards), Cartagena Look, Vallenato Festival, and reality shows Gran hermano (Big Brother), Desafío 2004 ( Dare 2004), and the finale of La Granja (The Farm) Tolima, where she worked until 2007. Her last project in Colombia was with Sesame Street in a special heart awareness campaign.
In June 2007 Caceres moved from Colombia to the United States, and in November of the same year started working with the Telefutura (now known as Unimas) network as producer in Veredicto Final until May 2011.
On May 2011 She was promoted to La Tijera as producer until November 2011 when the show was canceled and a new show started Tombola until January 2012.
On February 2012 started working with Latin World Entertainment developing the first Hispanic Bilingual Channel with YouTube called Nuevon as General Producer developing ideas, supervising content and post production of new videos.
In 2013 she was part of the launching team of CNET En Español to position the Spanish version of the website on the hispanic industry.
In 2014 was part of the organization of the first Hispanic and Latin American digital conference “Yo Soy El Influencer” (I'm the Influencer) which was broadcast through Telemundo network. Different versions have been developed one in Miami, Florida in 2015 and another in Los Angeles, California in 2017 under the name Hispanic Influencer Summit. She was also part of the organization of the show “Yo Soy El Artista” (I'm the Artist) with Telemundo.
On August 2014 was invited to speak about the revolution of YouTubers on how they are changing the media on the show of Andrés Oppenheimer on CNN en Español .
In 2015 Caceres and Luis Balaguer formed the Digital Department for Latin World Entertainment which is in charge of developing careers for YouTubers such as commercializing and creating new businesses.
In 2016 was the associate producer for the documentary “Guerras Ajenas” (Foreign Wars) with Lilia Luciano as writer, director and producer. On April 19 she gave her first speech on Hispanicize Summit in Miami. On October 16 of the same year participated in the panel of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in Miami speaking with different experts of how to share the power of diversity and work with influencers and powerful brands.
On July del 2017 she was invited to give an interview for about how she started managing careers for YouTubers.
Caceres has participated as a panelist and speaker in Webcongress in Mexico, Miami and Colombia, Social Media Week Miami 2016 , IAB, Google Bonfire, EXMa Colombia 2019.
On December 2018 Lina collaborated with the developed and launching of the makeup line Paula by Pautips with Youtuber Paula Galindo.
On January 2019 She received an award from the National Army of Colombia.
In August Lina gave a speech about Relational Marketing and Influencers at EAM University in her hometown Colombia .
