Liis Windischmann is a plus-size model who has worked across North America. She is a frequent media commentator on diversity, fashion and body image. Early years Liis was asked to fill in for a no-show model as a 15 year old when she was working as a receptionist at a large photography studio. Her modeling career didn’t work at that time because they told her that she was too large and she refused to diet. Beginning of career Years later, when she was size 14, she was stopped by a scout in a mall who asked her to be a plus-size model. In 2007 she created the Fenomenal Calendar of plus size women and she created the Walk the Catwalk event where she encouraged the use of more sample sizes.
