Librex

Librex is an application created by Corium. It can be used for electronic document management as well as for document scanning and intelligent capture.
Librex comes in two versions:
* Librex Starter License: This version is provided part of Corium's "Capture To Read" campaign that supports literacy and education. It's limited to three users and to 2,000 captured pages per year.
* Librex Enterprise License: This version is good for more complex scenarios with more volume.
Librex is developed using the Java technology. It offers the platform and technology to store and search for documents, and offers tools to scan and capture any type of document, including emails, faxes, virtual prints and any format of electronic documents. It includes OCR / OMR / barcode extraction functionalities and offers multiple smart connectors to automatically classify documents in external systems like Alfresco, SharePoint, Clara, CMIS, COBA, Docuthèque, Constellio (IntelliGID), SyGED, Ultima or simply to a network folder. Librex can also help optimize business processes around documents.
Librex can be installed by Corium or its partners or the user can install it by himself using Librex Quick Start Guide and Librex Support Portal. It can be installed in a local server or in a cloud environment like Microsoft Azure.
History
Corium was founded in 1986. The company was named Hexatek until 2010 when it changed its name. Librex was initially deployed in 2005 as a standalone document management system. It was then enhanced to specialize as an intelligent capture tool for content and records management systems with the help of its multiple smart connectors.
