Lenay Dunn is an American actress. Early life Lenay Dunn was born on October 25, 1985 in Karawa, Zaire which is now known as The Democratic Republic of the Congo. Her parents are Ted and Kim Olsen. They were teachers for an Evangelical Covenant Church College in Zaire. She has one sibling - her sister, Jayde, who is 2 years younger than her. Her parents moved to a Chicago suburb in 1988 and then to Chetek, WI in 1989 where her father became a pastor for the Evangelical Covenant Church. Although Lenay spoke a mixture of Lingala, French, and some English she had to go to speech classes in preschool because she could not pronounce some letters of the English alphabet. Her family moved to Minnesota in 1993. Lenay graduated High School in 2004 with a 4.0 gpa. In High School she was on the swim team, hockey team, track team, and read the lunch menu/did the morning announcements broadcasted over classroom TV's. She began making and editing videos on Final Cut Pro, and often made videos for class projects instead of writing essays. Her first High-School job was at 'Menards'. Her first video editing job was for a local company called Taxi 2000. College and Redbull In 2004 Lenay attended the University of Duluth, MN (UMD) where she received a B.A. in Spanish Education receiving 3.9 grade point average. Around this time Lenay designed her own website www.lenay.tv where she posted random videos she made with her friends. Her summer job was on the 'Red Bull Wiiings team' in Minneapolis (driving Red Bull trucks passing out Red Bulls). She also represented Red Bull for her college (Red Bull SBM). She created/held Red Bull events on campus, and made videos promoting them. Red Bull HQ in Los Angeles saw her videos and in 2006 Lenay Red Bull asked Lenay to host an online show called “Red Bull First Person.” For Red Bull First Person Red Bull pulled her out of class and sent her on spur of the moment action sport adventures; skydiving with the Red Bull Air Force, stunt flying with Kirby Chambliss, downhill skating in Red Bull Crashed Ice, driving NASCAR, and Rallying with Travis Pastrana. For 5 months in 2008 Lenay lived around Central/South America, speaking Spanish. (Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Ecuador). She returned to the states and spent the summer of 2008 touring on a Red Bull scenic cruiser with a camera man (Adam Buck) and a bus driver (Eddie) starring in a new series for Red Bull Flugtag called “Red Bull Roadies”. Lenay designed the show's logo, helped develop the show, and edited all the videos with her cameraman while riding on the Red Bull bus between interviews. The series can be seen on her site www.lenay.tv. Lenay also co-hosted the Tampa Red Bull Flugtag event for over 110,000 people. The on-line show was an instant hit crashing the Flugtag website, which caught the attention of Red Bull Global management. Within a few months Red Bull flew her to Europe to host another Red Bull event called, “Can You Make It?” In “Can You Make It?” contestants are left without money, credit cards or cell phones as they attempt to travel around Europe with only Red Bull for barter. The team who travel the most miles wins. MTV In January 2009 Lenay moved to Los Angeles, California for 7 months in order to further her career. Within days she landed a position living in a mansion with 7 other girls for a reality show called “Making It in L.A.” The show fell apart after the girls found out the producer of the show worked for 'Vivid Entertainment'. Lenay moved in with one of the other girls from the show, Lauren Stone from the first season of . 3 weeks after moving to L.A. Lenay got the manager she wanted, Marki Costello (the Grand daughter of Lou Costello). In L.A. Lenay met with top producers in Hollywood, edited videos for Marki, and modeled for and interviewed bands for an online company called Dirtbag.com Lenay moved back to Fridley, MN in August 2009 and on August 23, married Jason Dunn who is the lead singer and songwriter of a band called Hawk Nelson (They had dated for almost 4 years prior). After their marriage they moved together to Nashville, TN. At the end of 2009 Lenay submitted a video and was asked to audition for an MTV2 show. MTV2 did not cast her, but casting directors at MTV saw the video and interviewed her for a new MTV show. In May 2010 Lenay became the host of MTV’s “10 on Top,” a show that follows the top ten talked about celebrities of the week. The show airs on Saturdays at 11:30 am (ET). She was also filmed in a dozens of MTV short films called “Summer Wraps.”
