Lee LeFever

Lee LeFever is a video producer, author and co-founder of Common Craft who resides in Seattle, Washington.
Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, LeFever has an undergraduate degree in Business from Appalachian State University and a Masters of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
In 2007, LeFever and his wife began producing explainer videos that explained common Internet technologies like RSS and wikis. The videos proved very popular, and inspired LeFever and his wife to change the focus of LeFever's consultancy, Common Craft to producing instructional videos. As of July 2013, Common Craft has produced more than 50 educational videos, that have collectively received more than 25 million views on YouTube and dotSUB. LeFever writes and provides the voice-over for Common Craft's videos.
LeFever is often credited with founding the explainer video industry. He has received numerous awards for his work, including two Webby nominations.
In 2012, LeFever wrote The Art of Explanation: Making your Ideas, Products, and Services Easier to Understand. ISBN 978-1118374580, Wiley.
