thumb Laura Yelin-Bekerman was born in San Juan, Argentina and relocated after high school to Israel. There, she studied biology, where she followed her passion for both animals and nature. Abstract Artist career After a long-standing career as a neurobiologist and Research Associate at Salk Institute for Biological Studies, she began painting in La Jolla, California. Laura's art imparts the global sensibility of her far-reaching travels—from the cultures of Asia, India, Africa and Europe to South America, the Middle East, and the United States. Laura's abstract art reflects the many places she has visited.
