Lasha Dardagany

Lasha George Dardagany (born on November 4th, 1980 in the Dighomi Massive, Tbilisi, Georgia) is a Georgian actor, director, writer and producer.
Backgound
On September 1st, 1987 Lasha went to the 147th Anzor Chapidze High School in Dighomi Massive, Tbilisi. He found himself often repeating the plots and voices of characters who he had seen in the movies, one of his favorite activities. Bored and unmotivated in school, the young Lasha found a haven in the plays, and his interest soon blossomed into a full-time career. Starting on the stage he made it into the prestigious Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on a drama and motion picture directing of the Department of Arts and Humanitaries (1998-2002) studying under the legendary actor Giorgi Gegechkori's son-in-law acting coach Kote Mirianashvili.
Familiy
His father Gia Dardagany (born on May 27th, 1961 - died of cancer on July 19th, 2004) was a professional jeweler, businessman and executive producer of three short movies: Warriors' Voice from the Past (1999), Footballer (2000) and Dirty Hands (2003) written and directed by his son Lasha.
His mother, Irina Malanya (born on January 7th, 1962) is a gifted musician.
On June 7th, 1986 Lasha's younger brother Irakli Dardagany was born. He is an amateur soccer player, professional jeweler, actor and cinematographer on Lasha's film Gankitkhvis dge (2001)).
Career
Making appearances in various student productions, Lasha finally hit it big with Kôbô Abe's Hako Otoko (AKA The Suitcase/The Box Man). Also he was an apprentice director of the Award winner movie Nutsas skola (2000) written and directed by his teacher Merab Kokochashvili, one of the greatest Georgian filmmakers of all time.
