Sumit Kumar is a small-time Hindi stage singer based in Mumbai, India. He is the younger son of legendary playback singer, actor and director Kishore Kumar and the half-brother of singer Amit Kumar, the elder son of Kishore Kumar. Sumit's mother is the former actress Leena Chandravarkar, the fourth (and last) wife of Kishore Kumar. Sumit was 5 years old when his father died in 1987.
Sumit has been performing on stage from a very young age, mostly with his elder brother Amit, which he continues to this day. He has also appeared as guest performer and judge on several talent shows and competitions.
