Larry Koopman is a Canadian business owner and current New Democratic Party candidate for the federal riding of West Vancouver - Sunshine Coast - Sea to Sky riding. Early life and education Larry Koopman studied education at university. Career Koopman and his wife own a cottage rental business on the Sunshine Coast. He founded the Greater Vancouver Business Leadership Network in order to educate employers about hiring people with disabilities. He is currently the Sunshine Coast Community Coordinator for the Opportunities Fund. In this role he supports adults with disabilities as they find employment. Politics Koopman is the NDP candidate for the West Vancouver - Sea to Sky - Sunshine Coast riding for the Canadian federal election on October 19, 2015. He was elected as candidate on August 16, 2015. He ran for Trustee of Gibsons in October 2011. Personal life Koopman lives in Gibsons, BC. |
