Kyle Joseph Datres (born January 5, 1996) is an American college baseball player for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Datres attended Loyalsock Township High School. Early years Datres was born on January 5th 1997 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, his mother was the first women to play three sports at Williamsport Area High School and his father was a baseball coach and was part of a AAA Pennsylvania State Championship team. Datres attended Loyalsock Township High School a suburb of Williamsport. In high school Datres was an all-around athlete being named All-State in Football, Basketball and Baseball. He was a runner up in Mr. Pennsylvania Football award. And a three time All-State shortstop in baseball, he was ranked the 57th over shortstop nationally and 3rd in Pennsylvania. He was the 12 overall prospect in the state. College career Datres accepted an offer and committed to play college baseball at University of North Carolina. He started 41 games and appeared in 53 as a true freshman. Hit .250 with 6 doubles, 3 home runs and 23 RBIs. In total he scored 39 runs and drew 27 walks and 6 of 6 on stolen base attempts.
