Kunle Oriola

Ibikunle Ibiyinka “Kunle” Oriola is a Nigerian business executive. He is currently the Group Chief Financial Officer of the Nigeria-based conglomerate, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp Plc). He was appointed to the position in 2013.
Previously, Oriola worked in the financial sector, raking up over 14 years in experience with Asset and Resource Management Company Limited, Kakawa Discount House, KPMG and Ecobank Development Corporation.
Early Life and Education
He studied Finance at the University of Lagos graduating with the class of 2000 in the Second Class Upper Division. In May 1998, he got the merit award from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria for emerging as the second best student in the foundation examination. He has undertaken trainings in tax, leadership, transactions services, valuation of companies and banks, oil and gas power project finance, finance modeling and mergers & acquisitions trainings in Nigeria, Belgium, United Kingdom, Hungary, South Africa and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Career
Previously, Oriola worked in the financial sector, raking up over 14 years in experience with Asset and Resource Management Company Limited, Kakawa Discount House, KPMG and Ecobank Development Corporation. As the Group’s CFO, he coordinates regular engagements with about 300,000 retail investors and acts as the primary interface for the growing number of institutional investors.
Transnational Corporation of Nigeria
Oriola has been group chief financial officer of Transnational Corporation since September 2013. He articulates the financing reporting process and ensures compliance with external stakeholders.
He articulated the financing requirements and strategy for the group and was the client side lead for a 4.2 billion naira initial public offer for a hotel subsidiary, coordinated 10 billion naira for the primary market debt financing and managed lenders relationship for 42 billion naira of closed financing.
