Kojo Yankson

Kojo Yankson is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist, author, media consultant, and the host of Joy FM’s Super Morning Show.
Early life and career
Yankson was born 11 June 1979 in Cape Coast to Kobina Yankson, a Professor in Marine Biology at the University of Cape Coast, and Grace Yankson, a teacher. He has two sisters. He attended St. Augustine’s College for his secondary school education.
Yankson moved to England and embarked on a career in estate development in Nottingham. For several years, he worked as Regional New Homes Coordinator with Metropolitan Housing.
Move to Joy FM
In January 2014, Yankson returned to Ghana to work on a project at the University of Cape Coast . Work on this project led to him spending some time at ATL FM, the only remaining campus radio station, where he hosted the morning show. A trip to Accra brought him to the attention of and Multimedia management. On 7 April 2014, Yankson officially assumed the hot seat as the host of the Super Morning Show.
Yankson won the 2014 CIMG radio program of the year in his first year as the host of the Joy FM’s Super Morning Show. He has interviewed notable people including Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Professor Kwesi Botchway, Alan Kyerematen, Seth Terkper, the infamous armed robber Atta Ayi, DCOP Kofi Boakye, Arc Bishop Duncan Williams, and Vikram Mansharamani. Yankson became the first Ghanaian journalist to travel to an Ebola Infected country when he entered Nigeria is September 2014 and broadcast the Super Morning Show live from the Ebola Quarantine Center in Lagos.
Personal life
Yankson has a son called Karl Fiifi Yankson and currently resides in Accra, Ghana.
