Kleg was an art-rock ensemble between 1984 and 1995, from Groningen, the Netherlands. Bassguitar, drums and lot (usually five, but up to twelve for special performances) of electric guitars. Influenced by Glenn Branca, Rhys Chatham. They produced two albums: #15 - Eating and sleeping (BAR003) and Zing (BAR006). #15 - Eating and Sleeping is a threepart suite (total length about 49 minutes), originally commissioned by the City of Groningen. Parts of #15 were used for the French animationfilm La Fêlure. Zing has a more conventional rock-idiom. The twelve tracks of Zing were produced by Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth and engineered by Belgian technoproducer Luc Van Acker. Both albums were released by the Dutch recordcompany Barooni, owned by Roland Speckle (P.O.Box 12012, 3501AA Utrecht, the Netherlands).
