Kimberley Bolton

Kimberley Bolton is mainly recognized for being the first woman to be awarded the title of Microsoft Apprentice of the Year in 2014. Bolton was selected out of thousands of apprentices within the Microsoft program to win in the "Medium Business Category." This accomplishment is notable due to the lack of women in the IT industry. Education Kimberley Bolton always received good grades throughout her years in school, but when the time came for her to decide on whether or not she would go to a university, she decided against it. Bolton said that all along, she knew that she was not fond of the idea of going to a university, because she did not want to leave her family and end up with a large amount of debt. She states that technology was always a hobby of hers, but she pictured herself going into Event Management. As she works to help promote the apprentice program for Microsoft, she hopes to inspire others in the IT industry. Previously at K3 CRM she progressed from a support role through to Service Delivery Manager at Trillium Systems in London. Since working her way up she has now become the Co-Founder of her own pet travel company 'Travfurler' which enables people worldwide to travel with their pets. <ref name="linkedin" />
