Keyondrei Gardner

Keyondrei "Kiwi" Gardner is an American collegiate basketball player who attends Midland College in Midland, Texas.
Early life
Gardner was born and raised in Oakland, California. Growing up in the Bay Area, he had to find something to keep himself out of trouble so he chose to play basketball. He was always better than his age group so he played with older kids. He and his brother Peewee Gardner had competitive attitudes toward each other so it pushed them to want to get better. It was hard for them to play on the same team because they both wanted the ball in their hands at the same time but they did not lose too many AAU games together.
High School
As one of the top players in his city, he was asked to join the Bay Area's Finest mix team and also was invited to play for two different AAU teams such as the Drew Gooden Soldiers and the Bay Area Hoosiers. Kiwi's sophomore year he played against his little brother Peewee at Central Valley High School. In high school, the 5'7" Gardner had his first dunk in a game his junior year playing one of their crosstown rivals, East Union High School. Gardner's years at Manteca High School made him famous in San Joaquin County. By the end of Gardner's junior year he was named the Most Valuable Player. Gardner is a player that capitalizes on negativity when someone says he can't do something, it makes him work harder to prove that he can do it. After his senior year at Westwind Preparatory Academy he decided to sign to Providence College.
