Key Diego

Rondré Kemarr Brooks (born February 8, 1981), better known by his stage name Key Diego,is an American actor, rapper and song writer. He is currently one of the most sought after talents in Detroit, Michigan. After releasing two albums Life Or Something Like It and Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, he has now transitioned into acting, with a leading role in the stage play It's Hard Loving A Woman Like Me, and films Blinded By Site and Chasing Smoke.
Early life
Kemarr was born in Detroit, Michigan, growing up on the East Side of the city. His mother, Brunella Brooks-Hendrix, raised him and his two sisters along with his step-dad James E. Hendrix after Kemarr's father left before he was born. Kemarr attended Osborn High School. Kemarr was a really shy child, and loved to draw and write. He attended Ferris State University majoring in communications and received a certificate of completion from Specs Howard School Of Media Arts.
Key landed his first acting role on The WB Television Network, Sketch comedy show SwitchPlay TV in 2002.
Personal life
In 2006, Kemarr's ex-girlfriend Kimfa Pepper gave birth to their daughter Karise René. The pair have been in and out of court since 2006 over an intense custody battle. They currently share state-to-state custody of Karise from San Diego, California and Detroit, Michigan.

The new father offers a dedication to the new addition in his life on “A Song 4 Karise” where he demonstrates a softer side and expresses love for his daughter over a remake of 2Pac’s classic, ‘Keep Ya Head up’. After proclaiming “I Am The Greatest” in countless interviews and performances, Key lives up to his proclamations as he challenges all non-believers on the song, “Do It Like Me”, a sure shot street anthem to gain crowd participation. With club bangers like, “Certified Ryder” and “Moov Girl” Key definitely has what it takes to get the party started. Never shying away from being a ladies man Key charms his way over tracks, “Baby Girl” and “I Love It”. Another great feature about “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” is the storyline in between the songs. The album is an epic drama divided into5 Acts. “I was just being creative when I came up with the storyline. I wanted to make this CD something special for the listeners. I’m a huge movie fan and I sort of wanted to create a movie like feel for the album.” Key explains. Key Diego has been on his hustle for the past few years and his hard work and effort has garnered him the headline act of every “Listening Lounge”, (a popular scene that showcases up and coming artist out of the metro Detroit area). Key has also advertised his essence at popular venues in and out of the Michigan state. He has acquired a large variety of listeners world-wide from his online appeal.
