Kevin Concepcion

Kevin Concepcion (born 22 February 1980) is an English professional boxer.
Early life
Concepcion was born and bred in Leicester, growing up in Beaumont Leys and attending Beaumont Leys School.
Boxing career
Concepcion started boxing professionally on 23 September 2006, winning his first fight on points. He had another two points wins before his first knockout win in March 2007. He had a further three points wins from May to October 2007 before beating Darren Rhodes by TKO in just fifteen seconds on 1 December 2007.
He had a further five wins including another against Darren Rhodes before his first loss to Yassine El Maachi in November 2008.
He had another five fights, recording two wins and three losses.
Life after boxing
Concepcion runs a mini-crane hire company based in the The Midlands and operating a UK wide service.
Personal life
Concepcion is the elder brother of Martin Concepcion, also a professional boxer.
Concepcion is married to Hayley and has two children.
He lives in Thurmaston.
Concepcion, through his paternal Grandmother Thelma Sutcliffe, is a cousin, twice removed of George Turpin, also a professional boxer, and an Olympic Medallist, from Liverpool.
Through his paternal Grandfather Nicholas, Concepcion is also a cousin, twice removed of former Lord Mayor of Liverpool Tony Concepcion.
