Kenny Toal

Kenny Toal currently works at ITV Tyne Tees as a newsreader and reporter on North East Tonight. He can be seen standing-in for Jonathan Morrell or Ian Payne on the North and South editions respectively.

He is Scottish and previously worked for ITN and ITV Border until he left in 2002 to join Tyne Tees. He is 35 years old.

On August 7, 2007 he made the headlines of a local newspaper Daily Mail, as he was sick whilst presenting the South edition of North East Tonight, luckily for viewers not whilst the camera was on him, but during news reports and just before the programme went live at 6pm. He exited however halfway through, unable to continue, leaving co-presenter Pam Royle to present the programme by herself until it's end.
