The label mainly deals with metal and rock music, preferably with a personal touch. The label was established in Kauhava, South Ostrobothnia in 2006 but it moved to Vaasa, Ostrobothnia during spring 2008. Kampas' main distributor is Firebox Records. The label roster at the moment includes bands: Elenium, death metal/melodic/progressive --Caught in a Wheel (April 2007) released under Kampas Rec. Reversion, robust progressive metal --King of Deceit (June/July 2008) will be released under Kampas Rec. Synestesia, metal/death metal --tba (late 2008/early 2009) will be released under Kampas Rec. Verso, metal/rock --tba (September 2008) will be released under Kampas Rec. Wulfgar, Viking/pagan/death metal --With Gods and Legends Unite (September 2007) released under Kampas Rec.
