K-1 World Grand Prix 2003 in Melbourne

K-1 World Grand Prix 2003 in Melbourne was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was a preliminary qualifying tournament for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2003 and involved eight fighters primarily based in the Oceania region with all bouts being fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). The tournament fighters were mainly invitees but two, Jason Suttie and Andrew Peck, had qualified via the K-1 New Zealand 2002 event. As well as competition bouts there was also a couple of 'Super Fights' fought under K-1 Rules. In total there were twelve fighters at the event, representing eight countries. The tournament winner was Peter Graham who defeated Jason Suttie in the final by way of third round unanimous decision. As a result of the tournament Peter Graham would qualify for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2003 Final Elimination. The event was held at the Melbourne Town Hall in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday, July 27, 2003.
