K-1 Grand Prix 2000 Oceania

K-1 Grand Prix 2000 Oceania was a kickboxing event promoted by Tarik Solak in association with K-1. The event was held at the Crown Casino Ballroom, in Melbourne, Australia, on Sunday, 27 February 2000. It was a preliminary qualifying tournament for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2000 and involved eight fighters based in the Oceania region, with all bouts being fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). As well as the men's tournament there was also a women's bout and in total there were ten fighters at the event, representing four countries.
The tournament winner was Mark Hunt who defeated Phil Fagan in the final via second round knockout. By winning the tournament Mark Hunt qualified for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2000 in Nagoya.
