Julian Kulkarni (born 30 March 1973 in London, England) is an entrepreneur and international marketing director. Kulkarni is one of three co-founders of Jobpartners, a human resources software company. Set up in 1998 during the dot-com bubble Jobpartners has since grown grown from its initial offer of an application service provider (ASP) based recruitment solution to managing other aspects of the human resources (HR) lifecycle, such as employee appraisals, succession planning and career planning. In the period 1998-2002, while Kulkarni was Director of Marketing and Business Development, Jobpartners raised over €25 million of venture capital and established a network of offices in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and The Netherlands. The company supplies HR software to multinational companies such as Xerox, Carrefour and DHL. During his period at Jobpartners Kulkarni was a frequently quoted spokesman for the dotcom generation of young entrepreneurs, on human resources issues and the recruitment of skilled IT personnel from India. In particular, he became a leading commentator on ASP-based recruitment software solutions and the advantages and disadvantages of online recruitment for job hunters. Kulkarni left Jobpartners in 2002 to become European Marketing Manager of FreeMarkets, a provider of in-house and ASP-based strategic sourcing and procurement software, staying with the company after its acquisition by its chief competitor, Ariba. Kulkarni founded his own European marketing services company, Market Execution, in October 2004. The company's clients include easyFairs, which Kulkarni serves as easyFairs Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for marketing and business development across 16 European countries and Latin America. Kulkarni studied European Business Administration at Middlesex University and at Groupe ESC, Reims.
