Jpylyzer

Jpylyzer is a software tool for validating JPEG 2000 Part 1 (or JP2) still images. It also extracts and reports technical meta-information. The software was originally developed at the National Library of the Netherlands, with funding from the EU FP7 project SCAPE. It is now hosted at (and maintained by) the Open Planets Foundation.
Jpylyzer is free software which is released under a GNU Lesser General Public License. The software is written in Python. It can be used as a command-line tool, or as an importable Python module. In addition, binaries exist for Microsoft Windows environments, and Debian packages are available for Linux-based systems.
