Jonathan Teske

Jonathan Hunter Teske (born March 19, 1986 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky) was an offensive guard for the Miami Hurricanes football team from 2004 to 2007. He is currently finishing his senior year at the University of Miami, and is expected to graduate in May 2008.

High school career
Teske attended Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He spent time at both offensive tackle and guard, lettering three times in four years. Gaithersburg won the 4A State Championship in 2000, Teske's freshman season. He started all eleven games during his senior season, and Gaithersburg advanced to the Regional Finals.

Teske also lettered three times as a member of the track team, competing in discus and shot put.

College career
2004 season
Teske began attending the University of Miami in the fall of 2004. He was a walk-on to the Miami Hurricanes football team. He did not see any playing time.

2005 season
Once again, Teske did not get any playing time during the 2005 season. However, he did spend the season on the practice squad.

2006 season
For the second consecutive season, Teske was a member of the practice squad. Again, he saw no playing time.

2007 season
Teske was removed from the practice squad for the 2007 season. A subluxation of his left patella late in the season marked the end of his season, and likely his college football career.

Personal Life
Teske, whose parents were involved with the military, spent much of his childhood moving around the globe. Among the places he's lived: Chad, Columbia, Cyprus, Greece, and Kenya, in addition to Kentucky and Maryland in the United States.

A self-proclaimed geek, Teske enjoys movies, television, video games, sports and eating Chipotle in his spare time.
