Jonathan Swain

Jonathan Swain (born 1973 in Nuneaton, Warwickshire) is a TV presenter.
Swain is a graduate from the University of Kent, where at the same time, he also worked as a reporter for BBC Radio Kent.
At the age of 21, he became a reporter for Westcountry Live on ITV Westcountry, based in North Devon bureau. He went on to work as a presenter and reporter for Central News on ITV Central based in Oxfordshire, and during this time he freelanced with BBC News and ITN as a reporter.
From September 2001 to September 2010, he was a senior correspondent on GMTV. Swain covered some of the world's biggest news stories and events for GMTV. He reported from Baghdad during the period Saddam Hussein was toppled from power and has also broadcast live with British troops from the front-line in Afghanistan. He was often seen reporting on a variety of stories that ranging from business and consumer issues, politics, showbusiness and major news stories. Swain had been GMTV's main Correspondent at many sports events including the football world cup in Germany and the rugby world cup in Paris.
In September 2010, Swain became a Senior News Correspondent on ITV Breakfast programme Daybreak, which replaced GMTV.
In April 2014, Daybreak was replaced by Good Morning Britain. Swain continues his role as Senior News Correspondent.
