Jonathan Pryor is a prospective councillor representing the Labour Party in the Chorley Northwest Ward in the Chorley Borough Council elections which will take place on 1 May 2008. At the age of 18 years and 336 days on 1 May, he is the youngest candidate standing in a district council election in 2008. The minimum age for candidates was lowered from 21 to 18 in 2007.
Mr Pryor has had experience of numerous other councils thoughout his life: as Deputy Head Boy at in Chorley; as a forum representative at the same school, as well as at Runshaw College where he continued in the same role. Finally, he successfully campaigned to have the age restrictions reduced to 16 for the PCC at his local church, St Laurence's C of E, of which he is still the youngest member.
Jonathan Pryor is also a member of The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
