Joe Thein

Joe Thein, born on July 17th, 1991 in Esch-Alzette, is a luxembourgish student, conservative ADR-politician and local council in Pétange.
Life
Joe Thein grew up in the south region of Luxembourg in the municipality of Pétange, where he moved one year after his birth, from Pétange to Lamadelaine to live there. After the primary school in Lamadelaine he went to the Lycée Technique Esch-Alzette. Nowadays, he's studying for a commercial qualification at the Lycée Technique Mathias Adam in Pétange.
Political career
At the age of 16, Joe Thein entered the Alternative Democratic Reform Party (ADR) on July 14th, 2008. Fascinated in politics and history, he pursued the parliamentary elections in Luxembourg in 2009 and as a result, he entered the youth-organisation adrenalin, déi jonk adr on March 8th, 2009.
On October 16th, 2009 he placed his membership for the ADR-section of the Kordall region and in February 2010 in the ADR-south district.
At the youth nationalcongress on February 13th, 2010, he was elected as vice-president of the youth organisation until 2011, and with a little interruption, re-eclected at the extraordinarily youth nationalcongress on November 26th, 2011.
On March 8th ,2010 he got nominated and elected for the national executive comittee and on December 6th, 2010 as secretary of his section.
Local council elections 2011
As one of the youngest candidates on the elections of October 9th, 2011 in Pétange, with only an age of 20, he got the first elected on the ADR-List with 403 voices. For the first time, the political party obtained it's first seat in the municipality of Pétange.
