Louis P. 'Lou' Thieblemont is an American Democratic politician from Pennsylvania, who previously served as mayor of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, from May 2006 to January 2010. Thieblemont was appointed to the position of mayor in May 2007 by the borough county council, following the resignation of mayor Doug Morrow. He was reelected to a full two-year term as a Republican in 2007, defeating Democratic Party challenger Mark Simpson. In March 2008 he changed his party registration to Democratic in order to vote for Barack Obama in Pennsylvania's presidential primary election, although he had been a life-long Republican. In 2009, he was not a candidate for re-election due to term limits; he was succeeded by his 2007 challenger Mark Simpson, who ran as a Republican. Thieblemont was a pilot for TWA and American Airlines, retiring after 38 years. He has been a resident of Camp Hill for over 22 years.
