Jon Alvarez

Personal life
Jon Alvarez was born in Canton, OH. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1984. He then moved to Austin, TX at 18 and worked in a liquor store before attending the University of Texas. He then became a History teacher at Webb Middle School, in Austin, TX. He also worked at the Dell Factory Outlet for many years, as well as Enterprise Rent-A-Car. In July 1995, Jon married his first wife, Laura Kauffman. In October 2001, his wife and step-daughter, Rachel Torrence, moved to Baldwinsville, NY. After 15 years of marriage, he and Laura divorced. Alvarez remarried in October 2011.
He was the founder of the conservative "watch dog," and now defunct website, known as PABAAH. PABAAH stood for "Patriotic Americans Boycotting Against Anti-American Hollywood." PABAAH was first called FireHollywood. Alvarez, some time after the attacks, started the website PABAAH. Jon Alvarez has told many the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks on the Twin Towers in NYC on Sept. 11th, 2001 caused him to open his eyes.
His conservative views and opinions are now scarcely found, except those from the past. His last known media presence was in Fall of 2011 regarding a dispute over a fence he had built on his farm in Hannibal, NY. Alvarez no longer lives on his 66 acres in Hannibal, NY, with his new wife, as of late 2014.
Service in the Military
In 2005, Alvarez left PABAAH behind him to join the Army Reserve after the age to join was raised to 39 from 35. In the Fall of 2005, Jon Alvarez went to basic training. In August 2008, after receiving a waiver that would no longer keep him stateside due to his hearing, he and the 403rd Civil Affairs Battalion of the Army Reserves in Mattydale, NY headed to Iraq after 2 months of training in Fort Dix, NJ.
Radio Show - CNY Talk Radio
On Oct 26th, 2009, Jon Alvarez began hosting a daily talk radio show on WFBL's 1390 AM from 12-1pm EST. After less than a year of being on air, Alvarez suddenly ended his talk radio show on March 8, 2010.
