John Roco

John Roco, a candidate in the United States Senate elections, 2010 for Hawaii , is a Counselor on Oahu, Hawaii and a conservative activist. Roco, a martial arts practitioner, was in the Indie film GB2525, portraying a Filipino Fighter . An Asian American candidate, John Roco is one of the first Filipino Americans to run for a U.S. Senate seat (two are in U.S. Congress ). He is cousin to Raul Roco, late member of the Senate of the Philippines and candidate of the Philippine presidential election, 1998 and 2004, and Bembol Roco an award winning actor of the Philippines. Roco's first platform issue is adopted from laws passed by his cousin protecting women and children from sexual harassment in the Philippines .
