John Andrew McSoriley (born 10 November, 1948), LLB (1974), BA (1978) (Auck) is a Wellington, New Zealand Lawyer specialising in Public law and Natural Resources law. He is also a legal writer in the areas of Forestry, Environmental and Public Law. He is a Parliamentary lawyer and is the current New Zealand Parliamentary Legislative Analyst. Early life McSoriley was born in Invercargill. He did his legal studies at the University of Auckland and was admitted to the Bar in Wellington in 1976.
