John Littler

John Littler was the Anglo/American editor and founder of Mstation, an e-zine that covers a variety of subjects including music and tech culture and was started in 1998. His first e-zine, which was the second zine on the web, was called ReZ. It dealt primarily with hacker culture and remained on a University server until 1996. He also started a micro-zine called Radar which was published in London between 2001 and 2005. The idea was that it was a magazine presented in a graphically rich form on a poster which could be viewed from a distance as some sort of art, or up close, read in a normal way.
Littler wrote for a variety of other publications including a series for O'Reilly Media where a recent article on Art and Computer programming was Slashdotted. He has written an historical romp sci-fi book called Slivers of Time and has had speaking engagements in the UK, Germany, and the Ukraine.
John Littler was also a musician and in 2006 started a series of electronic music events called Bleepfest which have been held in London, England, Berlin, Germany, and Paris, France.
He lived in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Berlin.
John Littler died in Berlin during the late hours of Christmas Day, 2009.
