John Michael Guilfoil (born December 29, 1983, from New Haven, Connecticut is an American print and multimedia journalist working in Boston, Massachusetts.
He is a regular contributor to The Boston Globe.
He covers breaking news and technology stories. He started writing computer game reviews in 1997 on SharewareJunkies.com. In 1998, he founded ReviewCenter.com, a video game and electronics reviews site.
Guilfoil created the online magazine, Blast in 2007.
Education
Guilfoil is a 2007 graduate of Northeastern University There he joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He received the inaugural Husky Leadership Award at Northeastern in 2005 for his work in helping curb post-athletic event rioting on the Northeastern University campus.
