Jimmy Harte is an Irish Independence Party Politician for Donegal North East. He is located in Letterkenny, County Donegal. He has been a member of Donegal County Council since 1999 and the Letterkenny Town Council since 1994. His father Paddy is a retired Irish Fine Gael party politician who served for 36 years as TD for Donegal North-East. Jimmy is married to Mary Galligan from Carrigart and has four children. He graduated from University College Dublin with a B.A. in Psychology and set up his own business, Harte Insurances, at the age of 24, with offices in Letterkenny and Raphoe.
